Cambridge IGCSE March 2027 Exam Timetable: Dates, Subjects and Practical Exams
Cambridge IGCSE written exams for the March 2027 series run from Wednesday 3 February to Thursday 4 March 2027. However, some assessments take place earlier: ICT Practical A is on 27 January, ICT Practical B is on 2 February, and several speaking assessments have a 29 January–10 February test window. So, note that March 2027 is the name of the exam series, not the month in which every exam takes place.
This guide brings together the Cambridge IGCSE dates from the March 2027 final timetable.
Before using this timetable: match your syllabus and component codes against your statement of entry. Confirm your actual start times, reporting times and any supervision arrangements with your school or exam centre.

How to read your exam timetable
To keep the tables easy to read, each uses three columns:
Column | What it tells you |
Paper / component | The assessment and exact code |
Date | The scheduled exam day |
Session · duration | Morning or afternoon, followed by exam length |
AM means morning. PM means afternoon. These are session labels, not exact local start times.
All dates below are in 2027, except the explicitly stated November 2026 opening of the Art & Design window.
Match the full component code
For example, 0580/22 identifies Mathematics syllabus 0580, component 22. Do not search only for “Maths Paper 2” and assume that any result is your exam.
The distinction matters because this timetable includes three separate Mathematics syllabuses:
0580: Mathematics.
0607: Cambridge International Mathematics.
0606: Additional Mathematics.
Do not take every row as a required paper
Some tables contain alternative routes. For example, a science table lists both Core and Extended papers, plus Practical and Alternative to Practical options. Use your entry confirmation to identify your actual combination.
Mathematics — 0580
Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580 exams take place on 3 February and 15 February 2027, in the morning.
Core Mathematics
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0580/12 | Wed 3 Feb | AM · 1h 30m |
Paper 3 — 0580/32 | Mon 15 Feb | AM · 1h 30m |
Extended Mathematics
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 2 — 0580/22 | Wed 3 Feb | AM · 2h |
Paper 4 — 0580/42 | Mon 15 Feb | AM · 2h |
Planning tip: there are 11 complete days between the two Mathematics exam dates. However, other subjects may fill much of that interval. Prepare for both papers before the first exam rather than treating the gap as 11 free revision days.
Cambridge International Mathematics — 0607
International Mathematics 0607 has exams on 3 February, 15 February and 23 February 2027. All are morning sessions.
Core International Mathematics
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0607/12 | Wed 3 Feb | AM · 1h 15m |
Paper 3 — 0607/32 | Mon 15 Feb | AM · 1h 15m |
Paper 5 — 0607/52 | Tue 23 Feb | AM · 1h 15m |
Extended International Mathematics
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 2 — 0607/22 | Wed 3 Feb | AM · 1h 30m |
Paper 4 — 0607/42 | Mon 15 Feb | AM · 1h 30m |
Paper 6 — 0607/62 | Tue 23 Feb | AM · 1h 30m |
Check the syllabus code: these dates and durations are for 0607, not Mathematics 0580.
Additional Mathematics — 0606
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0606/12 | Wed 24 Feb | AM · 2h |
Paper 2 — 0606/22 | Tue 2 Mar | AM · 2h |
Planning tip: if you also take Chemistry and Biology, your final week may include Additional Mathematics on 2 March, Chemistry multiple choice on 3 March, and Biology multiple choice on 4 March. Prepare for that three-day sequence in advance.

Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Practical — 0610/52 | Tue 16 Feb | AM · 1h 15m |
Alternative to Practical — 0610/62 | Tue 16 Feb | AM · 1h |
Important: the practical assessment comes before the theory paper. Biology multiple choice then takes place on the final day of the IGCSE written timetable.
Keep a short multiple-choice practice routine going after the February theory exam so that the subject stays fresh for 4 March.
Chemistry — 0620
Chemistry assessments are scheduled on 5 February, 9 February and 3 March 2027. All are in the morning.
Core Chemistry
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |

Practical assessment: check your entered option
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Practical — 0620/52 | Tue 9 Feb | AM · 1h 15m |
Alternative to Practical — 0620/62 | Tue 9 Feb | AM · 1h |
Planning tip: Chemistry theory is in the first week of written exams. Do not leave major Chemistry revision until February simply because the series is called “March 2027”.
Physics — 0625
Physics assessments are scheduled on 4 February, 12 February and 26 February 2027. All are in the morning.
Core Physics
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |

Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Practical — 0625/52 | Thu 4 Feb | AM · 1h 15m |
Alternative to Practical — 0625/62 | Thu 4 Feb | AM · 1h |
Important: Physics finishes in February, even though it belongs to the March series. Its practical assessment is also one of the earliest exams in the timetable.
Combined Science — 0653
Combined Science papers are scheduled on 4 February, 12 February and 26 February 2027.
Core Combined Science
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |

Paper 1 — 0478/12 | Wed 10 Feb | PM · 1h 45m |
Paper 2 — 0478/22 | Thu 18 Feb | PM · 1h 45m |
Both papers are in the afternoon.
Planning tip: Biology theory is on the morning of 18 February. Students taking both subjects should prepare for a two-exam day.
Information & Communication Technology — 0417
ICT has two practical dates before the main written timetable begins.
Component | Date | Session / timing |
Practical A — 0417/21 | Wed 27 Jan | Confirm with your centre |
Practical B — 0417/31 | Tue 2 Feb | Confirm with your centre |
Written paper — 0417/12 | Mon 8 Feb | PM · 1h 30m |
The timetable’s test-window section does not provide an AM/PM session or duration for the two ICT practical entries. Ask your centre for your reporting time, start time and assessment instructions.
Do not overlook 27 January. If you take ICT, your exam commitments begin before February.
First Language English — 0500
The timetable lists this syllabus as First Language English with an oral endorsement.
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0500/12 | Mon 8 Feb | AM · 2h |
Paper 2 — 0500/22 | Wed 10 Feb | AM · 2h |
Speaking & Listening — 0500/04: the published window is 29 January–10 February 2027. Confirm whether this component applies to your entry and obtain your individual appointment from your centre.
Planning tip: there is only one complete day between the two written papers. Prepare for both before 8 February.
English as a Second Language — 0510
This timetable lists English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement), syllabus 0510.
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0510/12 | Mon 8 Feb | AM · 2h |
Listening — 0510/22 | Wed 10 Feb | AM · 50m |
Speaking — 0510/32: 29 January–10 February 2027, with the individual appointment confirmed by your centre.
Do not confuse 0510 with First Language English 0500. Their written assessments share dates, but the papers are different.
Literature in English — 0475
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0475/12 | Thu 11 Feb | AM · 1h 30m |
Paper 2 — 0475/22 | Mon 22 Feb | AM · 1h 30m |
Paper 3 — 0475/32 | Mon 22 Feb | AM · 45m |
Paper 4 — 0475/42 | Mon 22 Feb | AM · 1h 15m |
These are not automatically four papers that every student must take. Your assessment route determines your component combination.
If your entry includes more than one paper on 22 February, ask your centre for the running order, reporting time and any supervised-break arrangements.
Business — 0264
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0264/12 | Tue 9 Feb | PM · 1h 30m |
Paper 2 — 0264/22 | Tue 16 Feb | PM · 1h 30m |
Important code check: the March 2027 timetable lists Business 0264. If your revision folder contains resources labelled 0450, check their relevance with your teacher rather than assuming the syllabus code and assessment details are unchanged.
Both Business exams are in the afternoon. Students taking separate sciences should notice:
9 February: Chemistry practical assessment in the morning, Business Paper 1 in the afternoon.
16 February: Biology practical assessment in the morning, Business Paper 2 in the afternoon.
Economics — 0455
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 2 — 0455/22 | Wed 17 Feb | AM · 2h |
Multiple choice — 0455/12 | Mon 1 Mar | AM · 1h |
Notice the order: Paper 2 comes first. The multiple-choice paper is almost two weeks later.
Keep Economics active in your revision schedule after 17 February, even while other subjects compete for attention.
Accounting — 0452
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 2 — 0452/22 | Thu 4 Feb | PM · 1h 45m |
Multiple choice — 0452/12 | Fri 26 Feb | PM · 1h 30m |
Both Accounting exams are in the afternoon.
Geography — 0460
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0460/12 | Thu 11 Feb | PM · 1h 45m |
Paper 2 — 0460/22 | Mon 15 Feb | PM · 1h 45m |
Paper 4 — 0460/42 | Mon 22 Feb | PM · 1h 30m |
All Geography papers are in the afternoon. Check your entry to confirm whether Paper 4 applies to your assessment route.
Planning tip: Mathematics 0580 and International Mathematics 0607 both have exams on the morning of 15 February. If you also take Geography, prepare for a morning-and-afternoon exam day.
History — 0470
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0470/12 | Fri 19 Feb | AM · 2h |
Paper 2 — 0470/22 | Tue 23 Feb | PM · 1h 45m |
Paper 4 — 0470/42 | Thu 25 Feb | PM · 1h |
Confirm whether Paper 4 is part of your entry.
Watch the session change: Paper 1 is in the morning, while Papers 2 and 4 are in the afternoon.
For students entered for all three, there is only one complete day between Papers 2 and 4. Prepare for the final paper before sitting Paper 2.
Environmental Management — 0680
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0680/12 | Wed 3 Feb | PM · 1h 45m |
Paper 2 — 0680/22 | Wed 17 Feb | PM · 1h 45m |
Both papers are in the afternoon.
Planning tip: Paper 1 falls on the first day of the written timetable. Students taking Mathematics that morning will have two exams on 3 February.
Global Perspectives — 0457
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0457/12 | Thu 25 Feb | AM · 1h 25m |
This is the fixed-date written exam. Obtain any separate deadlines for other assessed work from your school.
French — 0520
Fixed-date papers
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |

Speaking
0530/03: 29 January–10 February 2027. Your centre will confirm your appointment.
Important: Spanish Listening and Paper 4 are both scheduled for Wednesday 24 February afternoon. If you are entered for both, ask your centre for the order and timing. Do not assume that one of the dates is a mistake.
Hindi as a Second Language — 0549
Paper / component | Date | Session · duration |
Paper 1 — 0549/01 | Fri 5 Feb | PM · 2h |
Listening — 0549/02 | Mon 1 Mar | PM · 55m |
Both papers are in the afternoon. Note the 55-minute Listening duration.
Art & Design — 0400
Component | Published test window |
Practical — 0400/02 | 1 November 2026–27 February 2027 |
This is a test window, not an instruction to attend an exam on every day within that period, and not confirmation that your assessment will take place on 27 February.
Ask your Art & Design teacher or exams officer for your scheduled sessions and the deadlines that apply to your work.
Speaking and practical dates: the complete early-assessment checklist
These entries sit outside the main subject-by-subject written timetable and are easy to miss.
Assessment | Date or window |

A speaking window is not your personal appointment. Record the specific date and time given by your centre once confirmed.
The Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Science and Co-ordinated Sciences practical assessments have their own fixed dates in the subject tables above.
Exam start times: what AM, PM and Key Time mean
The Cambridge timetable specifies whether each fixed-date exam belongs to the morning or afternoon session. It does not provide a single universal clock time for every student.
Your centre must tell you:
When to arrive.
When your exam starts and finishes.
Whether any additional supervision is required.
Whether any timetable arrangements have changed.
Is Key Time the exam start time?
Not necessarily.
Cambridge’s Key Time is a specified time during the session when candidates must be under the required supervision. It should not be treated as a substitute for your centre’s confirmed exam start time.
The timetable explains that:
If an exam starts after Key Time, candidates must be under Full Centre Supervision from Key Time until the exam begins.
If an exam finishes before Key Time, candidates must remain under Full Centre Supervision until Key Time.
This means your required time at the centre can be longer than the paper’s stated duration.
For students and parents: do not book transport based only on “start time plus exam length”. Check the confirmed release time too.
Potential clashes and two-exam days
Same-session combinations to flag
The following overlaps are visible. They matter only if you are entered for the relevant components.
Date · session | Components sharing the session |
Fri 5 Feb · PM | French 0520/22 and Hindi 0549/01 |
Fri 12 Feb · PM | French 0520/42 and Spanish 0530/22 |
Mon 22 Feb · AM | Literature 0475/22, 0475/32 and 0475/42 — check your route |
Wed 24 Feb · PM | French Listening 0520/12, Spanish Listening 0530/12 and Spanish 0530/42 |
This is a selected list, not a personalised clash report. Some simultaneous entries are alternative papers or routes rather than exams one student would normally take together.
If two of your confirmed components share a session, send the full codes to your exams officer. Your centre must organise any permitted sequencing, supervision or timetable arrangements.
Busy days with different sessions
These combinations are not same-session overlaps, but they can create demanding days:
Date | Morning → afternoon |
3 Feb | Mathematics → Environmental Management |
8 Feb | English → ICT |
10 Feb | English → Computer Science |
11 Feb | Literature in English → Geography |
15 Feb | Mathematics → Geography |
16 Feb | Biology practical assessment → Business |
17 Feb | Economics → Environmental Management |
18 Feb | Biology theory → Computer Science |
23 Feb | International Mathematics → History |
25 Feb | Global Perspectives → History |
26 Feb | Physics or combined/co-ordinated science multiple choice → Accounting |
Use only the rows relevant to your subjects.
How to plan revision around this timetable
1. Build a personal timetable from your actual entries
Start with your statement of entry, not a generic subject list.
For every component, record:
Full code.
Date.
Local start and reporting times.
Duration.
Venue.
Any supervision or special arrangements confirmed by your centre.
2. Work backwards from your earliest assessment
For an ICT student, the first important date may be 27 January, not 3 February.
For a language student, a speaking appointment could also fall in January. These assessments need a place in your revision plan before the written-paper timetable begins.
3. Bring revision forward for crowded weeks
For students taking several common subjects, 8–12 February may contain English, Chemistry practical assessment, Business, Computer Science, Literature, Geography, Physics and language papers. Avoid a plan that depends on learning each subject only after the previous exam finishes. Aim to enter a busy week with the main preparation for every paper already complete.
4. Keep later multiple-choice papers active
Some subjects have a substantial gap between theory and multiple choice:
Chemistry: theory on 5 February; multiple choice on 3 March.
Biology: theory on 18 February; multiple choice on 4 March.
Economics: Paper 2 on 17 February; multiple choice on 1 March.
Accounting: Paper 2 on 4 February; multiple choice on 26 February.
After the first paper, switch to short, regular practice sessions for the remaining component. Review incorrect answers and the reasoning behind them.
5. Practise with the correct 2027 timing
Do not assume the time allowance printed on an older paper matches your upcoming exam. Use the duration listed for your exact component. Particularly easy-to-miss examples include:
Accounting 0452/12: 1h 30m.
Geography 0460/22: 1h 45m.
History 0470/42: 1h.
Global Perspectives 0457/12: 1h 25m.
Hindi Listening 0549/02: 55m.
6. Check your final exam before making travel plans
Finishing Mathematics on 15 February does not mean your full series is over.
You may still have Additional Mathematics, Economics, Chemistry, Biology or another assessment in March. Check every entered component and any outstanding school requirements before booking travel.
Common timetable mistakes to avoid
Mistake 1: Mixing up syllabus codes.Mathematics 0580, International Mathematics 0607 and Additional Mathematics 0606 are not interchangeable.
Mistake 2: Assuming papers occur in numerical order.Accounting and Economics Paper 2 are scheduled before their multiple-choice Paper 1.
Mistake 3: Forgetting speaking appointments and ICT practicals. These appear in a separate test-window section of the official document.
Mistake 4: Using an old timetable’s durations.Match both the date and duration to your current component code.
