Edexcel IAL Summer 2027 Exam Timetable: Dates, Units and Sessions
Edexcel International A Level Summer 2027 exams start on Tuesday 4 May and finish on Thursday 10 June 2027. We made this guide to make it easier to find your units, check exam sessions and plan revision. Whether you are searching for the Edexcel IAL May June 2027 timetable, International AS exam dates or individual papers such as Maths P3 and Chemistry Unit 4, use the tables below to find your exams.
Before adding exams to your calendar: confirm your exact unit entries and local start times with your school or exam centre. “Morning” and “afternoon” identify the published session; they do not give a universal start time for every country.

How to read the tables
Each table has just three columns:
Column | Meaning |
Unit / code | Match this against your statement of entry |
Exam date | Day and date; every date is in 2027 |
Session · duration | AM = morning; PM = afternoon; followed by exam length |
For example, P3 · WMA13/01 — Tue 25 May — PM · 1h 30m means Pure Mathematics 3 is scheduled for the afternoon session on Tuesday 25 May 2027 and lasts 90 minutes.
Only select the units you are actually taking. A subject table lists the scheduled units across the qualification; it is not a personal entry list.
Mathematics and Further Mathematics
All Maths papers listed below are scheduled in the afternoon and last 1 hour 30 minutes.
Pure Mathematics: P1, P2, P3 and P4
Unit / code | Exam date | Session · duration |

P3 · WMA13/01 | Tue 25 May | PM · 1h 30m |
P4 · WMA14/01 | Mon 7 June | PM · 1h 30m |
Planning tip: P3 and P4 have 12 complete days between them, but your other subjects or Maths modules may fall within that interval. Check your combined timetable before treating it as a revision break.
Further Pure Mathematics: FP1, FP2 and FP3
Unit / code | Exam date | Session · duration |

Decision Mathematics: D1
Unit / code | Exam date | Session · duration |

What time do Edexcel IAL exams start in my country?
Use the local start time confirmed by your exam centre.
Pearson’s timetable directs international centres to its regional start-time guidance. A morning or afternoon session label alone is not enough to determine your local reporting time. See the instructions in Pearson’s final timetable.
When building your personal calendar, record:
The exam date and unit code.
Your confirmed local start time.
Your required arrival time.
The venue and room, when available.
Keep the arrival time separate from the exam start time so your calendar reminder tells you when to be there.
Potential exam clashes to check early
Two papers on the same day may be in different sessions. The first combinations to flag are those scheduled on the same date and in the same session.
The following are selected overlaps identified by comparing entries in Pearson’s final timetable. This is not an exhaustive clash list.
Date · session | Papers sharing the session |
Tue 4 May · AM | Accounting Unit 1 + Psychology Unit 1 |
Thu 6 May · AM | Economics Unit 1 + IT Unit 1 |
Wed 12 May · PM | Geography Unit 1 + Physics Unit 2 |
Thu 13 May · AM | History Unit 1 + Psychology Unit 2 |
Tue 1 June · AM | Business Unit 4 + Geography Unit 3 |
Wed 2 June · AM | Chemistry Unit 5 + IT Unit 4 |
Wed 2 June · PM | History Unit 3 + Statistics 2 |
Thu 3 June · AM | Physics Unit 5 + Psychology Unit 3 |
Fri 4 June · AM | Biology Unit 5 + Economics Unit 4 |
Thu 10 June · AM | History Unit 4 + Psychology Unit 4 |
Thu 10 June · PM | Chemistry Unit 6 + Mechanics 3 |
If you are entered for both papers in a row, contact your exams officer. Send the two full paper codes and ask for your confirmed arrangements. Do not independently move an exam to another time.
Also check your IAL schedule against any exams you are taking with another board.
Busy exam periods worth planning around
Taking Biology, Chemistry and Physics?
Some science papers fall on consecutive days:
Period | Sequence of exams |
19–21 May | Physics Unit 3 → Biology Unit 3 → Chemistry Unit 3 |
2–4 June | Chemistry Unit 5 → Physics Unit 5 → Biology Unit 5 |
8–10 June | Physics Unit 6 → Biology Unit 6 → Chemistry Unit 6 |
If these are your entries, aim to have all three papers in each group substantially prepared before the first exam in that group. The evening between exams is better used for focused recall than learning a large section for the first time.
Taking Maths alongside sciences?
Watch for days with a science exam in the morning and a Maths paper in the afternoon. Examples include:
Friday 7 May: Physics Unit 1, then S1.
Wednesday 2 June: Chemistry Unit 5, then S2.
Thursday 3 June: Physics Unit 5, then FP2.
Friday 4 June: Biology Unit 5, then M2.
Tuesday 8 June: Physics Unit 6, then FP3.
Wednesday 9 June: Biology Unit 6, then S3.
These are different-session combinations, but they still create a heavier exam day. Prepare both papers in advance and make practical plans for meals, travel and the interval between sessions.
How to turn the timetable into a revision plan
1. Build one combined exam list
Copy only your entered units into a single list and sort them by date. Keeping a separate calendar for every subject makes it harder to notice that an Economics paper sits between two science exams.
2. Mark three types of pressure points
Highlight:
Same-session papers: ask your centre about arrangements.
Two-exam days: prepare for both before the day arrives.
Consecutive exam days: bring revision for the later paper forward.
3. Count usable revision days
A two-week interval between papers in one subject may contain several exams in other subjects. Plan around the days you actually have available.
4. Set a preparation deadline before each exam cluster
For example, if you take all three Unit 5 science papers on 2–4 June, aim to complete a timed paper and review your main weaknesses in each subject before 2 June.
5. Practise for the correct duration
Use the duration shown for your exact unit. A 1h 20m practical-skills paper needs a different pacing plan from a two-hour essay paper or a three-hour Accounting exam.
After marking, turn mistakes into a short, specific task list: the calculation you need to practise, the definition you missed or the essay skill you need to improve.
