All dates below are in 2026. Durations use h for hours and m for minutes.

How to find the right exam dates

Before adding dates to your calendar, check your subject, qualification route and examination code against your statement of entry.

Some subjects offer both linear and modular qualifications. Their dates may match, but their codes—and sometimes their durations—differ. For Mathematics A, you must also check whether you are entered for the Foundation or Higher tier.

The tables below group matching dates where possible and show separate rows where the routes have different durations. Only use the papers or units for which you are entered.

What time do the exams start?

The fixed-date papers in the November 2026 timetable are listed as morning exams, but international candidates must check the start time for their location.

Use Pearson’s international exam start-times guidance, selecting the relevant document for your qualification and series. Then confirm your exam start time and required arrival time with your centre.

If you are entered through the British Council or another exam provider, follow the timings they issue for your entry.

What if two exams fall on the same day?

Check for clashes as soon as you receive your personal timetable. Several subjects share a morning session—for example:

Date

Subjects to check

Wed 4 Nov

Mathematics A and English Literature

Fri 6 Nov

Mathematics A and ICT

Wed 11 Nov

Physics and Economics

Mon 16 Nov

Chemistry and English Literature

Tue 17 Nov

Business and Geography

Wed 18 Nov

Physics and History

These are examples; check every paper in your own entry.

Pearson noted that candidates with more than one exam in a session should take them consecutively, with a supervised break where permitted. Contact your centre to confirm the arrangements, including the order of papers and any supervision requirements.

How to use the timetable for revision

Start by making a personal list containing only your entered papers and units. Add each exam’s date, duration and centre-confirmed arrival time.

Then plan backwards from your first paper:

  • Prioritise earlier exams. Some subjects begin in October, including Accounting, Commerce, languages and Mathematics B.

  • Prepare for busy days. Allow extra revision time before dates when you have multiple papers.

  • Practise with the correct duration. This is especially important for science subjects, where linear and modular timings differ.

  • Confirm practical arrangements early. Add your actual ICT practical appointment once your centre provides it.
