Who developed these predicted papers?
These predicted papers were developed by experienced Cambridge IGCSE English First Language teachers, with each paper led by a specialist in the relevant component rather than a single author across all papers. Together, the team brings over 17 years of combined teaching and marking experience, and all texts have been carefully selected to reflect Cambridge’s style and level of demand.
How will this benefit me?
Time is one of the most valuable things you have in the run-up to exams. These resources helps you use it more wisely by pinpointing the 'core' focus questions you should be practising according to our teachers.

Reviews
We used these predicted papers with a group of students ahead of their IGCSE First Language English exam, and they proved to be a very effective revision tool. The passages were well-selected and reflected the level of challenge students typically face, while the questions encouraged precise reading and careful interpretation. In particular, we thought the writer's effect and summary questions were pretty well done
I am so glad my predicted paper focused on the persuasive speech aspect for Question 3. Moving from the narrative boyhood perspective to the environmentalist one voice for the speech was tricky, but because I'd practiced the speech format from this paper like the rhetorical questions and we pronouns, I knew exactly how to structure the answer
I practised a similar directed writing task beforehand through the predicted papers, so the structure of evaluating viewpoints and forming a balanced article felt easier in the exam. The exact topic didn't come out, but the skills transferred quite well. Highly recommended to anyone looking for more practice:)
The predicted papers didn't match the exact volunteering topic, but they trained us to handle two-text evaluation and write in an article format. That made this question much more manageable in the actual exam. On balance, I'd say get it if you want extra practice otherwise the past papers are good too
Finish the exam papers over the past week and I'd say that the key structures being taught ended up really helping with the opinion piece that came out for text B. So it definitely made it easier. But i;d say these are just best guess papers so don't rely on them completely
